  1. Ultrafiltration Systems: Ultrafiltration(UF) is a variety of membrane filtration which is used to remove emulsified oils, metal hydroxides, emulsions, suspended solids, dispersed material, and other molecular weight materials from wastewater. It is also used to remove small fines in deburring and tumbling from wastewater, coolant, and other solutions.


        2. Vacuum Evaporation and Distillation: Vacuum evaporation and distillation is a technique in which it removes the water from the contaminants, rather than filtering the contaminants from the water.
Three primary vacuum evaporation are:

  • Mechanical vapor recompression

The process of Industrial Wastewater Treatment: 
For industrial water treatment, the water passes through a series of five major steps:
  1. Preliminary treatment
  2. Primary treatment
  3. Secondary treatment
  4. Tertiary treatment
  5. Disinfection
1. Preliminary Treatment of Wastewater: The preliminary treatment is a series in which the wastewater entering a treatment plant called as influent to remove suspended solids that could clog pipes. This process involves screening operation to remove large objects, such as sticks, rags, leaves, sanitary products, rocks, toys, and rocks. Treatment plants are made up of steel or iron bars set in parallel about one-half inch apart.

2. Primary Treatment of Wastewater: This process use settling tank, also called a sedimentation tank or clarifier. In this process, a series of operations removes up to 50% of pollutant solids that will flow settle. These sedimentation tanks are designed to hold wastewater for several hours. During this time, the suspended solids can drift to the bottom of the tank, and floating material can be skimmed off.

3. Secondary Treatment of Wastewater: In the secondary treatment process is a highly controlled artificial environment, where the solid material flowing out of primary treatment is again treated in this series. This process removes solid materials, either flowing on the source, dissolved in the water, or both. This substance could be food particles, fungi, algae and varies of bacteria and microorganisms. 

4. Tertiary Treatment of Wastewater: The next stage improves the quality of water even more. This water treatment is designed to remove specific toxic substances that may be dissolved in the water stream.
5. Disinfection: Disinfection is the final stop in the treatment process before water is released to the environment. This water significantly reduces any remaining bacteria and virus and help protect the public from exposure of any pathogenic microorganisms.
