Course Description

Training Overview for Ageing & Life Extension Of Concrete Structure Corrosion-Waterproofing-Repairs

A. Overview:
We conduct our operations like manufacturing, commercial etc. in Concrete Buildings. These buildings are sometimes quite old & sometimes new. The buildings require regular maintenance irrespective of their age. This is required to maintain the operations in smooth running condition.
Concrete structure deteriorates due to many factors like:-
a) Corrosion of reinforcement bars, b) Overloading, c) Earthquake, d) Fire damage, e) Water leakage., f) Chemical damage
The maintenance is quite a difficult task because guidelines, procedures, standards etc. are not available so easily. Many times maintenance in charge is not a civil engineer. He could be from other technical disciplines like mechanical / Electrical engineering.
At times persons from HR & admin also have to look after this maintenance task. It is very difficult to execute maintenance works without proper guidelines. In such cases, support is sought from vendors/service providers, which at many times are not complete enough.
This two days programme will provide proper guidelines & help the participants to develop insight into the subject.

B. Who should attend
? Engineers from various Industrial plants, Power stations, Refineries
? Engineers from the maintenance department of Government Departments, Public sector units, Municipal Corporations etc.
? Maintenance Engineers from hospitals, Hotels, Bank, Educational Institutes
? Engineers working with Developers
? Engineers from Repairs & Rehabilitation field
